2015 RBC Canadian Open

The 2015 RBC Canadian Open was held at the picturesque Glen Abbey Golf Club in Oakville, ON. Global Sports discussed the beauty of Glen Abbey’s infamous 11th hole and broke down why it’s so difficult to play even for pro golfers. Designers Annu Gulati and Mike Lapalme recreated this difficult Par 4 hole to give viewers an in-depth look at what the players are facing when standing on the tee. They designed a virtual table top using 3D graphics with intricate detail on each element that make up this hole; from the 150 ft valley drop to the creek that runs across the Fairway. The goal was to give viewers a perspective of what it would take to make this difficult shot.
